PABRE Requirements Specification Editor is a free Chrome add-on designed to assist requirement engineers in documenting software requirements efficiently. It leverages a catalogue of Software Requirement Patterns (SRP) to enhance the quality of requirements specifications by allowing users to start from templates or blank documents. This lightweight tool provides flexibility for analysts during the requirements elicitation process, facilitating better formatting and writing of specifications.
The PABRE system is composed of four subsystems: PABRE-MAN for managing SRP catalogues, PABRE-PROJ for project management and requirements documentation, and PABRE-WS as a web service accessing the patterns catalogue.
